Shannon Forshey, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Shannon Forshey grew up just a few short blocks from Camelback Pediatrics! She attended the University of Arizona for both her undergraduate and medical school degrees. Dr. Forshey completed
residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital in 1999. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a board-certified fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She also serves on the Board of directors of Arizona March of Dimes.
Dr. Forshey has been in private practice since completing medical school, however through the years, she managed to keep her hospital skills finely honed by also working intermittently as a pediatric hospitalist. A few years ago, Dr. Forshey took a break from outpatient medicine and joined Banner
Thunderbird Medical Center, employed as a full-time pediatric hospitalist.
Dr. Forshey enjoyed her time working in the hospital but missed the continuity of care of patients which is offered in the outpatient
setting. She is excited to see children and their families grow throughout years! Dr. Forshey is happily married, and she and her husband have three daughters. All of the “4 she” girls are obsessed with their dog, in a nearly unhealthy way. Camelback Pediatrics was Dr. Forshey’s pediatric office for her own children and she is thrilled to be in the office now as a provider. Dr. Forshey enjoys hiking, reading, calligraphy, traveling and theatre. She recently completed a 500-hour course to become a certified Pilates instructor.
